Today was awesomely meaningful !
I mean like ,
it has been a long time since I saw Winnie ,
the last time being last year in June when we met to celebrate my birthday ,
and when she passed me my lovely red slippers which ,
I have since been using till now . (:
I do agree that absence makes the heart grows fonder ,
because after I saw her I then realized how much I really missed her .
Wrote her a letter on Thursday ,
because I thought I won't be going to her house today .
But Candy was going and I thought why not ?
At least there's someone who's non Christian there with me .
Not that I'm against Christianity ,
in fact after I became a J2 I got really inspired by that religion ,
but I don't really feel comfortable with Cell groups I guess .
Gave her a pleasant surprise !
We were like long lost friends ,
shocked and excited at the same time to see each other .
But the feeling was really really awesome .
Don't know how to describe .
I kind of wished that we can like ,
have the whole day chatting about life .
But the day was equally fun with her Cell group members (:
At first it was rather awkward ,
because I'm like too shy to speak up :/
But thanks to Winnie ,
who always clears the air of awkwardness ,
that everyone soon joined in the games and yeah ,
like really enjoyed . (:
After games were the making of the garlic bread and cooking of mushroom soup .
Cool ! I was tasked to toast the garlic bread !
Candy and Erika cooked the mushroom soup ,
which Candy dropped the lid of the can ,
and a spoon into the pot LOL .
Then the rest were cutting the bread and spreading garlic spread over it .
Simple preparations ,
yet I think we all enjoyed .
After we ate ,
it was time for them to share .
Laiyin shared her reason why she became a Christian ,
and yeah I think I'm like kind of glad that she befriended God ,
which got her through all the shit that she faced in JC .
I empathize with her encounters ,
first blow was to drop from S101 to H1 Econs ,
second blow was to get into a sucky class who didn't care about her feelings .
Don't deny that I hated her last time ,
but I guess feelings change ,
and she longer seemed that irritating as what I perceived in secondary school . (:
Now she's just an awesome studying partner ,
and someone whom I will always offer the seat beside me to ,
during Math lecture .
We played game for a little while more then it was like "commercial break" .
So I went into her room .
Looks the same ,
but now with more things about God all around her room .
Her piano's still rotting there !
And the columns of encyclopedias are still at the shelves too !
Been so long since I went her house ...
At least 2 - 3 years I guess .
But not much changed (:
She showed me the cards I gave her ,
and I was like "wow" .
The very first being the bookmark that I drew for her, Jasmine Ang and Dolly at the start of secondary 1 .
And I remembered Dolly kept that card in her wallet all the way till secondary 4 .
Awww ,
and a couple more cards that are more recent (:
Oh my ,
she has prove of my ugly handwriting last time !
Really had ugly handwriting last time ):
Even Candy was shocked that I actually wrote like that last time .
It was like ,
at around 8+ that we leave her house .
Seriously I need to catch up with Winnie some day .
But her IB studies examinations is like at the same time as O levels .
So I think we probably have to wait until I finish A levels . ):
Sent Candy to the bus stop with Erika ,
she had to go home first because her mother cooked her spaghetti .
Then went Compass Point with Erika for dinner !
Just realized her best friend loves YELLOW too !
It's an awesome color man hahaha .
And it was kind of coincidental that both Erika and Winnie sucked in Chinese ,
and they have been trying to get their best friends into Christianity but to no avail .
Was laughing at her when she said that !
Had dinner at Macdonalds ,
and she bought Happy Meal like seriously x.x
Wanted Apple Dippers but they ran out of stock ,
so she stuck to fries .
After that then walked to the bus stop and we both went home .
So tired !
Meeting Melissa tomorrow to study in the morning . (:
Yeah was like texting Winnie just now ,
and was telling her about how meeting her once again let me re-feel ,
why we can still be close even after being in different class after secondary 2 ,
and being in different school for our pre-university schooling for 2 years .
The feeling of familiarity .
Just so comfortable .
But kind of feel a pinch of guiltiness every time she says
"I wish you were in ACS with me (: "
How about I wish she was in MJC instead ?
Hahas I guess we will never be able to determine what's the best situation .
Well ,
just feel that today was such an awesome day . (:
I think I will have sweet dreams tonight .
